We teach Classic T’ai Chi Ch’uan of the Yang style in the tradition of Grand Master Cheng Man-ch’Ing. Students begin their study of Classic T’ai Chi Ch’uan by learning the 37 action Ch’ua Chia (“short form”) which contains the fundamental concepts of this art.
After students complete the “short form” and gain experience with T’ui Shou (“stationary push hands”), they practice Ta Lu (“moving push hands”) and the T’ai Chi Chien (sword).
Advanced students learn San Shou (“free hands”), T’ai Chi Shan (Fan), and Yung Fa (applications) including T’ai Chi Ch’in Na. We also teach Yang’s 128 (long form), The Basic Sixteen Exercises for T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Frolic of the Five Animals, and Qi Gong.
